Story-telling

I'm blogging a bunch today 'cause I'm behind schedule.

Elias brought up a great analogy. Some people have a talent for story-telling. In any conversation, they can link up a story beautifully, sometimes as a metaphor, sometimes as entertainment. But the point is, at the end of the conversation, the story carried meaning - it belonged and contributed to information that was exchanged. The best Science is good story-telling - when you link up multiple observations into a coherent 'story' that carries meaning and advances your understanding/conveys information.

Auditory neurophysiology is stand-up comedy.
